Nesta

Ernesta Nelson, known professionally as Nesta, is a dynamic singer and songwriter from Buxton, Guyana, whose music blends Reggae, Dancehall, R&B, Soca, and Pop. Raised in a musical family—her mother a music teacher and her brother a former Calypso Monarch—Nesta began performing at age three and went on to win the Junior Calypso Monarch title multiple times. As her career evolved, she transitioned into Soca and later embraced Reggae and Dancehall, releasing hit singles like "Essence" and collaborating with artists such as Tarrus Riley and Nigy Boy. Her music reflects her Caribbean roots, fuses multiple genres, and delivers powerful messages of empowerment, identity, and self-expression. Now based between Guyana and New York, Nesta continues to grow her international presence, performing at major events like Atlanta Carnival, Barbados Fashion and Music Awards, and Guyana Day celebrations in the U.S. With a bold new sound and a strong creative vision, she’s using music as a platform for healing, confidence, and cultural pride—bringing her story and her voice to the world stage, one song at a time.
