Dasilva

Born 9th May in Georgetown, Guyana, Pierre Dasilva was destined to be great. His musical career began at age 13 as a DJ on the family sound system, where he would often play for neighbourhood and family parties. This imprinted a love for writing and singing, especially dancehall and reggae. No surprise, these genres were the inspiration for some of his first singles. After moving to Barbados, his passion and love for music continued, as he worked the DJ circuit both locally and regionally. It was around this time, that he developed a love for soca music releasing his first soca single ‘Mad, Mad’ which took him all the way to the Guyana Soca Monarch Finals. Over the years, he has continued sharpen his musical skills dropping hits like ‘Wine on You’, ‘Come Inside’, ‘Push Way, ‘This Carnival’, ‘Balance; and more. His biggest success to date has been winning the People’s Choice 2023 with his hit single ‘Freedom at Last’ featuring Chrissy D where he got a chance to perform on the big stage during the CropOver Summer Festival in Barbados.
